Do you want to empower someone else and make an meaningful impact to community?

Well, Minnesota Thunder PLUS (MNTP) is a place for you. MN Thunder PLUS is a community organization committed at developing leadership skills, improving self-esteem and behavior and teaching healthy lifestyles for immigrant and urban youth.   We achieve theses goals through organized soccer. Our community is ethnically growing and our intercultural relationship has hardly expanded. What is another way to promote this relationship than build upon our common ground!

And Our Common Ground is Soccer!

Using soccer as a vehicle, we address significant gaps in access to out-of-school activities for youth in Minneapolis and St. Paul’s traditionally low income, urban, immigrant communities, including the following: lack of programs and uneven quality in existing activities; low participation rates for girls; non-engagement by parents, neighborhoods, and institutions; and inadequate and unsafe facilities.

MN Thunder PLUS provides training opportunities for all volunteers.
