Mission Statement
Urban Youth Leadership Connection, a non profit organization, works to empower immigrant and urban youth to become cross-cultural leaders through the unifying language of soccer.
Through targeted partnerships with urban families, community centers, recreation centers, and schools, we provide resources, program enhancements, technical assistance, training, and direct services to hundreds of youth in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Principals from two partner schools, Jackson Elementary School and Washington Middle School, have described the impact of our leadership program as “…overwhelming, compelling story: kids who are involved in this program are more well-adjusted, more connected to the school, and more engaged in their schoolwork.” “This program is transformational – how kids see the world, make choices, feel about themselves – kids experience success and improvement and see the fruits of their efforts."
